Prague

Destination of the month

Prague

One of the best things about visiting the Czech Republic is sampling possibly the best beer in the world. Few people realise that the big American brand Budweiser was born here.

But far from the gassy light ale stuff served up in the distinctive brown bottles worldwide, real Budvar sold in the Czech Republic is of an entirely different class. It’s rich and creamy and best of all, it’s cheap. So if you’re visiting Prague do the taste test, and tell me if this isn’t the best beer you’ve tasted in the world!

In addition, Prague is traditionally one of the cultural centres of Europe, hosting many cultural events. Since the fall of the Iron Curtain, Prague has become one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations.

Prague contains one of the world's most pristine and varied collections of architecture, from Art Nouveau to Baroque, Renaissance, Cubist, Gothic, Neo-Classical and ultra-modern.
